migraine with vision problem

the other night i had a migraine, but it freaked me out because i couldn't get my eyes to focus on the same thing.  almost like when your hald awake and and try to look at something.  Do you know what caused this. It was not my normal migraine visal aura.

Migraines are spasms of the blood vessels which result in changes in the blood flow in the brain or eye.  People with migraines can experience a number of symptoms such as scintillating lights, zig-zag lines, double vision.  They usually last 20-30 minutes although they can last several hours and/or days.  These symptoms may be associated with a headache.  

Since the symptom you are experiencing is double vision and is different than your normal migraine symptoms, I would recommend that you see an eyeMD.  This may indicate something else such as abnormal blood vessel in the brain or TIA, transient ischemic attack, which require urgent care!
