miopia and some eye problams

thank god i got this site and able to ask some questions i am 27 year old unmarried man i have been using specs for astigmatism for last 7 years last week i have seveir problam in my eye, as i am working infrond of computer for long hours after some work when i have to see others or others things all seems some unclear and some shadow or shading i went to eye specialist he said i had some miopina problam also now. what is this miopia exactly? what are difficulties that may creat?how can we protect eyes from others problems in future?is mine is a normal one or abnormal one? my specificaton is +0.5 is this is abnormal? what will be the conseques of all these later?

even after changing glass i dont feel comfort i checked again with eyespecialist regarding the accuracy of new specs he said it is ok i can use it . please help me find some answers to these quesions

Myopia means that you are nearsighted.
+5 eyeglass RX means that you are -5 diopters myopic, which is toward the high end of the "medium" range.

The treatment for myopia, in addition to glasses or contacts, can also include refactive surgery, like lasik.
