mole in the eye

i just took my 4 year old to the eye doc  because i thought that she had a lazy eye and they told me that she did her left eye then tole me that she has a mole in that same eye.i am freaking out cause she tole me that she could go blind i have looked everywhere for some kind of answers and have came up empty.what can i expect from this and if something is going to happen how long do we have to wait to know?

Please call the ophthalmologist that saw here and ask if the mole or nevus is anything to worry about.   They are not unusual and come in all shapes and sizes. Most are totally harmless but some can be a real concern and can turn into malignant melanoma (sort of like on your skin.)  It all depends on the size and thickness and other characteristics.  You really need to just ask the doctor about the size and thickness and if there is anything to worry about.  Hopefully, it will turn out to be nothing serious.
