monocular diplopia

Are there any eye exercises that can help correct monocular diplopia?  I have had monocular diplopia since the surgeon's attempt to reinsert the Jones tube while I was awake, which was very traumatic and unsuccessful.  There are times, after I rub my eyes, where I feel that the monocular diplopia temporarily goes away.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to ways to help my vision correct itself?

No some cataracts blur near vision more than distance, others vice versa, some see worse at night, some during day. If you have seen more than one ophthalmologist and they recommend cataract/IOL surgery for PSC cataract then consider strongly going ahead.

I have myopia and astigmatism. Lately I have developed trouble vision on the right eye.  When I look objects and letters at six to seven inches of distance I can read well. Nevertheless with more separation I see three objects.  For example the light of the traffic light looks like a fan, three round images.  I have been evaluated by several optometrists and prism lenses does not correct the problem.  Ophtalmologists has recommended cataract surgery (I have subcapsular cataract related to inhaled beclomethasone use for asthma).  Shouldnt I see blurred also near objects if cataracts were the cause?  I have suffered from vitreous floating flies since young worse in that eye. A retinologist ruled out other retinal pathology. Any suggestion?

Thanks
