multifocal IOL study

Several months ago it was reported on the Eye Care Forum that Drs. Hagan & Kutrub had completed a study on patient satisfaction/dissatisfaction with multifocal IOLs.  Have they published the findings, and how can cataract patients access the findings?  Thanks  Vivian Mower    ***@****

The study has not been published yet. It normally takes 6-12 months to have an article that's accepted get in to print. Our article has been "fast tracked" and will appear in the Jan/Feb 09 issue of Missouri Medicine medical journal. Also the American Academy of Ophthalmology's publication EYENET will feature it in an article on problems with "new technology" IOLS.

Once our study is published we will post a copy of it on the Missouri State Medical Association website and it will be available on PUBNET.

I am not at liberty to disclose the results of the study but anyone that has followed the discussions in these formus will not be surprised.
