muscle surgery

I had sceral buckle put on eye from having a detached retina and  also laser surgery. Now they want me to have eye muscle surgery.Could you give us the pros and cons of having this surgery. I am 34 years old.

If you're not having problems with double vision, reading, looking around there is little reason to consider it. If you have double vision that is a major problem for you and cannot be corrected with prism glasses then eye muscle surgery may be the only way to try and restore single vision.  Eye muscle problems and double vision are a common side effect of scleral buckles.
