my 8 month old son eyes

i just noticed my son his eyes have in the white area of his left eye its discoloring too a greyish color from the town im from its hard to get in so im asking is this normal for his eyes to be like that he's always rubbing his eyes sometimes i dont even know if he notices me or anything thats right in front of him until way later as aparent im hoping to hear its nothing but i also want to know could it be something to where my only choice is hoping to get him into an eye doctor ?

He needs to be taken to a pediatric ophthalmologist to make sure everything is OK.  There are some things in kids that need to be looked for based on your description.  This is especially true if you feel he does not make adequate eye contact as an 8 month old should be able to.
