my eyes hurt :'(

Hi I am 14 and have recently been having trouble with my eyes. It goes on and off but direct bright light really hurts even a flash or looking at a phone or computer for too long. Things go blury sometimes and especially for the first few hours in the morning and when im tired they start to sting and I have been told that I am squinting. Im confused and have asked my mum to book me an eye test but she just hasnt bothered :/ what do I do????

You need a thorough eye exam.  You may need glasses but should also be checked to make sure nothing else is going on.  Find an ophthalmologist near you at www.aao.org and give the number to your mom to call.  If you have a doctor picked out already it will make her have to do less work.
