my prescription feels wrong?

hi, i got a new pair of glasses after 4-5 years (my number went up from -0.50 in both eyes to -1.00 in and -0.75 in the other). i just received my new glasses about a week ago (my policy is to not wear glasses until you need them, i believe wearing glasses 24/7 only helps degrade your eyesight furthermore) i've worn them a couple of times (about 4-6 times) but they feel really weird. on the left vertical corner of my left eye and the right vertical corner of my right eye everything starts warping; everything starts squeezing inwards and shrinks.
|||| |  |                    |--------|                    |  | ||||              <---- if those are to be my classes then the area with more lines is from where everything warps in. if i move my head around for about 4-5 seconds continuously i start feeling dizzy (doesn't happen with my older glasses).i have a feeling my number is too strong. when i look through both my old and new glasses consecutively, the new glasses magnify crispier but at the same time they don't look as clear as the older ones. the older ones are more comfortable and seem more proper. i kind of have to squint with the new ones to not feel a little dizzy when trying to focus on far things. i will be going back to the doc soon but does my prescription seem off?

also, my dad says that i should be wearing these glasses even when i'm using the computer. when i told him this is for far away objects he said its all the same for kids and bifocals are not issued until 30+ and i have to wear these even when using the computer. is that true? as i mentioned above, my prescription is -0.75 (OD/ right eye) and -1.00 (OS/ left eye)

You do not have to wear the glasses for the computer.  You need to see your doctor to have the prescription checked.
