myopia can be cured?? is it irreversible?

elo since i was 10 yrs old i wear glasses.
im short-sighted (i've got big eyes). i was wandering whether any kind of surgery could make me see normally without wearing any lenses or glasses?
is it safe?
I HATE WEARING GLASSES!!!! N LENSES WORST!!!

Myopia is not completely understood and the genetics and progression not possible to predict. Treatment includes glasses, contact lens, refractive surgery such as lasik or refractive lens exchange.
