numerous problem,eye rubbing problem,discharge,etc

For years I've had different problems with my eyes. Most of the time when I go to sleep, I rub my eye and will wake up with some sort of red eye with eye discharge(stringy). Sometimes if I rub my eye too much it get swollen in the middle of the night. I tried to stop myself of rubbing the eye but I cant because its like a dream and im not sure what im doing. I'm not sure if it is my eye or its that I have the habit of rubbing my eye. When im certain i did not rub my eyes overnight, my eyes would get a little swollen and have alot of discharge. Also during the winter season, my eye would always feel strained when I play video games, watch tv, etc but when I put on sunglasses over my glasses, my strain feeling gets reduced. When I take my glasses off eyes also feels much better than wearing glasses. My doctor gave me eye drops for dry eyes but I've used it for months and nothing is better. I been to my doctor every month and he is not certain what is the problem. I've been wearing glasses since 8 years old. As years pass my eye get worst and worst. I do not play video games, watch tv, etc much(llike 2-3hrs) and I do let my eye rest. Now my eye vision is -3.00 on both eyes and Im 16 years old. I want to know what is the problem and how to cure this because I dont want my vision to get worst.

I suggest you have your parents take you for a second opinion with a ophthalmologist that specializes in cornea and external disease. They can find one near you at www.aao.org
