obscured vision related to neck muscle spasm?

obscured vision related to neck muscle spasm?

I have sudden onset of 98% obscured vision that I believe is related to a knot/muscle spasm in my neck and shoulder. I am being treated by a chiropractor, but he says that he has no experience with eye involvement, so I am seeking a second opinion regarding the possibility that the 2 problems are related. I have no health insurance, so do not currently have access to CT scans, MRIs or any similarly costly diagnostic equipment.
Three days ago I awoke to nearly completely obscured vision in my right eye. It looks like storm clouds in front of my eye, and I have no sight of anything more than a few inches from my eye. Objects within a few inches of me appear only as shadowy undefined shapes. I also have a computer-work related muscle spasm in my right shoulder that travels up the right side if my neck, and this was worst/most swollen on the same morning that the vision problem started. Treatment of this (chiropractic adjustments, electrical stimulus, massage) has slightly improved the neck problem, but the spasm is still quite pronounced. I am also still blind in one eye. In other words, I cannot determine yet whether the chiropractic and soft tissue treatment will improve my eye condition. Is it likely that the neck problem has also pinched a nerve related to my eye or otherwise caused the obscured vision?

Please see an ophthalmologist immediately since this is a medical eye emergency!  You have a serious eye problem and it is not related to your neck or spasms.  My first guess is that you could have something like a retinal detachment or bleeing inside the eye.  Make sure to get seem immediately - your vision depends on it.  This is a real eye emergency!!!
