occasional eye pain

occasional eye pain

Hello, I experience occasional  (a couple times a year) eye pain (seems like behind eyes or at the top of the eyes). The pain lasts usually 4-5 days and exacerbated by extreme eye movements (e.g., far left, far, right, top, bottom), also, I experience, at times, mild headache and mild photophobia. No other symptoms, and non "extreme" eye movements appear to be not painful. After the episode I experience complete resolution of symptoms, and no pain with extreme eye movements. I did not have eye exams during the painful episode, however, my routine eye exams are normal. When browsing the web for "eye pain with movement" all searches link to Optic Neuritis and Multiple Sclerosis connection.
Thank you,
I appreciate your time and help

Your symptoms do not suggest MS or optic neuritis. However you need to see an Eye MD physician ophthalmologist to try and make a diagnosis. You can find one at www.aao.org
