optic disk drusan

Hello, mr eye dr says i have optic disk drusan and that its not the type to affect my eyes? Thats all she said and i was quickly ushered out of the room!! Please could you give me some more info ont his as im reading that other people are losing there sight and i am very worried. I have an enlarged blind spot. I have other sypmtoms that she says are not related to the optic disk drusan, such as, thousands of dots and sqiggles on any bright background, different brightness in each eye. Any advice would be really helpful. Thankyou.

Optic nerve drusen rarely cause problems.  The problems that can occur are similar to glaucoma (nerve fiber layer loss).  However, unlike glaucoma there is no treatment.
