optic neuritis or pink eye?? IRT pituitary microadenoma

I am 24F and diagnosed w/ a pituitary microadenoma almost 2 mths ago. i am currently waiting to see my (second opinion) doctor at Vanderbilt Hospital. 2 wks ago my eye became inflammed and red. My son and bf had recently gotten over pink eye; therefore, i assumed i had the same. My son had 2 bottles of med prescribed - one of which not opened. i decided to use these (diagnose myself)... ihad about a period of 3 days where my eyes seemed "well". It has been over 2 wks now and my eyes have never had the "discharge goo" or "glued" together when i woke up. both my son and bf seemed to bounce back the day after starting the eye drops - I, however, have not been so lucky. The sun bothers intensely. Pretty much any light. it is weird bc i have to hold my hand ABOVE my eyes to help - even when only a lamp is on. 2 days ago i noticed an odd symptom.. the round part of my eye (sorry, unfamiliar w/ words) seems to not be completely round anymore... it seems to almost indent on the bottom right hand corner...very faint, but nevertheless - not the same as my other. I have experienced dizzy spells constantly... my headaches have been excrusiating. they water easily and it seems as tho something is in my eyes and hurts when i look up... does this sound like pink eye, or is this something i should be worried about? i know that optic neuritis is common with pituitary tumors... i don't even know what kind of doctor i would see. I go to Vanderbilt on April 2nd to determine what other doc's/tests i will undergo from here... PLS HELP!

You need to see a Eye MD ophthalmologist in your local community as a medical urgent work in. Find one at www.aao.org and call tomorrow. And don't use other people's medicines or eye drops.
