optic neuritis

I am 46, and have had optic neurits since last summer in August.  My vision in my right eye got blurry after a bad headache over my eye.  I've been to specialists, had MRI's taken, blood tests, etc., even took steroids which causedd internal bleeding.  No one has an answer.  My eye has never regained sight back and I'm worried it never will.  My blood pressure has also been elevated for the past several months.  I don't have any other symptoms of MS, except for tiredness.

Thank you,
Teresa in Denver

It is not likely that your vision will improve anymore. Generally what you have 6 months after the attack is what you are going to be left with. Most cases of optic neuritis are "idiopathic" that means we don't know what caused them. While there are many causes MS is the most common cause WHEN A CAUSE CAN BE FOUND.
