optic neuritis

I do have MS diag.2004 optic neuritis x4 times! i have recovered each time,my mobility unfortunately not good,use cane/walker BUT i use a Vit. B 50 complex the docs/specialists do believe it has helped with my vision to return esp. my optometrist what is your opinion? I am a big believer in vits.&mins.thanks DG

Dear redglo,

Vitamin B12 deficiency may be associated with optic neuropathies.  To my knowledge, it has not been proven to be helpful in MS induced optic neuritis. I would speak with your eyeMD about the benefits/risks of taking.
