pale disc

My son was dignosed with pale disc and normal vessels and normal mocula when he was 14 months old.hat couuld this possibly mean?He is now 5 yrs old and his visual accuity is very low.Hus eyes are misalligned too.Is there a treatment for this or could he get any glasses or surgery to improve his visual accuity?

If he's 5 years old you should have a clear understanding of what the problem is, what the diagnosis is and what can be done if anything. Just as important what is the status of the good eye and what you need to do to it safe from injury and disease. He should likely be wearing glasses to protect the good eye.

If you are not clear on these things go in to discuss with your pediatrician or the ophthalmologists Eye MDs that have been taking care of him. Ask about the chance of other chldren or blood relatives having the same problem.
