poor vision in left eye cataract amblyopia history of glaucoma
my daughter now aged 11yr was detected with congenital glacoma at the age of 1. Was operated then but had intra vitreal infection when 5. Now has a very developed cataract, unhealthy retina and only detection of presence and absence of light. The left eye is amblyopic, the right eye has normal vision. the complete left eye ball has increased in size since she was 1 yr old. Should she be operated for cataract, are there any possibility of vision back in the eye and can the size of the eye become normal

I do not believe there is a good chance of improvement of vision with cataract surgery.  This eye had an infection, glaucoma, ambblyopia and is larger.

The size of the eye will not return to normal.
