possible AMD symptom?

possible AMD symptom?

I am experiencing parallel streaks of bright colored fine (thin) lights, which shimmer to resemble a driving rain.  Predominant color has been "neon bright" orange but also appears in green, blue or red.  Dry MD has not progressed and streaks cover full field of vision.  Literature available to me does not report similar symptoms.  Can supply more detail to medical forum

No I'm sorry I can't be sure enough to provide helpful information. Discuss with your ophthalmologist.

Thanks. i had discussed it with my ophthalmologist and didn't get a studied answer.  I will change to one who will at least say, "I don't know but will check my sources."

Ihave not yet schedulaed a visit to Miami , which is 2+ hours drive from me, but I did see a different Ophthamologist Ithe one who removed my cataacts a few years ago, and got as through exam NS AM MUCH REASSURED THAT I AM NIT SIMPLY LOSING MY VISION.  this doctor diagnosed my conition as ocular migraine.  Since I know had a name I have bombarded the web and realize that the many variations (one or both eyes, with or without migraine headache pain, brief or lo g-lasting, gray no -vision spot, jagged line framing, etc. , etc.) has much reassured me.

Although I have not yet come across the exact sympto,ms I have experienced (continupus coverage of the full field of vision of BOTH eyes, fine bright lines , no headache or pain,ALWAYS bright and coloired) I will continue looking and will, eventually get to Miamni and, meanwhikle , have changed my pohthamologist.,

There are many discussions here of "ophthalmic migraines" you can access them with the search feature and archives

When I first experienced opthalmic migraine I did not know what it was. The colors were gorgeous and covered my entire field of vision, a patchwork of angular designs. But it was overpowering and disturbing, and closing my eye did not help. I asked someone (not a doctor)  what to do to get rid of the image and was told to will it away. I did this and it worked, but that could have been coincidence. In the past I suffered painful migraine headaches. I no longer get the headaches.

thanks (and apologies for accidentally hitting 'submit' for my last comment before I had a chance to correct my multi-typos) for your suggestions.  Since sending that in, I have gone through the entire archives (more than a decade's worth) and have not found a single case the same as mine, even though I recognize that they are probably variations on the same theme.  The cases I read about were usually white lines; instead of mine which are always colored and bright; they were often with only one eye and mine is always with both; they usually only obscured or shaded a small portion of the total field of vision, while mine cover, but do not obscure, the entire field; they usually lasted only minutes whereas mine are essentially continuous; my lines are very fine and thin and generally in a parallel sense where as the others were generally "jagged" and my ocular experiences are never accompanied by a headache, something I haven't had in years.  Last, most of those submitting were much younger than my 84 years, although I am in generally OK shape, still kayaking and biking.
