post op retinal detachment surgery

Hi, I had surgery in both eyes a week ago today, both eyes had retinal detachments. the left eye wasnt bad, they did indirect laser on it, though my vision tends to change without notice. the right eye, they did laser, buckle, gas bubble, cornea abrasion, and drained 75% of the fluid. I was kinda wondering how long will I have to not shower, and not wash my hair? I know this seems like a silly question, but its driving me bonkers. If the dr is saying I can go back to work in a week or two, and my job as a rural route mail person requires driving with both windows down, rain pouring in my face, getting gravel, dust, dirt, bugs, whatever in my eyes then I would think showering should not be a big deal at that time, but I am not sure they really understand my job or are thinking about those things.  Does anyone else have recovery experience from having all these proceedures at once, when might my right eye begin to see somewhat normal? It is still very red, swollen and painful and blurry. Than ks to anyone with info
