post-operative residual oil bubble

hi
i had retinal detachment surgery vitrectomy with silicon oil.  i had the oil removed a month ago.  in addition to  little specks mos likely left over blood, i am seeing small silicon oil bubbles after the oil was drained from my eye.  does the oil bubble eventually gets absorbed by the body.  my eye doctor says it will eventually hide in the corner and will be out of line of sight but only can be removed surgically.  is this true or will be evetually get absorbed by body.

thank you

I don't do retina surgery so I ask one of our retinal surgeons and he said it's like vacuuming up dog hair or needles from a Christmas tree, you can never get it all and some is always left behind.

thank you for the reply.

just wondering if the residual silicon oil bubbles are common after vitrectomy to drain the oil?
Or the surgeon just didn't do a good job?

Any gas put in the eye will eventually reabsorb. The silicon oil remains permanently.  Hopefully your ophthalmologist is corrrect and it will disperse and not be noticiable.
