post pteryguim operation

I consulted an eye doctor last month and i was operated in the right eye in phils a month ago by the same doctor. the name of the operation was Pterygium with mitomycin. the operation was a success , moderate pain and swelling i experience but i was able to managed. I was given an eyedrops Tobradex for 10 days then to be followed by the artificial tear eye drops.but after a month I've noticed that in the inner part of the right eye theres a small red flesh growing. no pain and blurring of vision i experience.my question is, what is this growth?do i have to be alarm of this?or i have to undergo another operation?

Dear ai_ai,

I would recommend that you see your eyeMD to determine whether this is a possible regrowth of the pterygium, a scar, or just normal healing.
