pred forte

I have a recurring condition with iritis and schleritis.  Periodically eyedrops are interchanged to get a current outbreak under control.  Can you tell me how long pred forte drops are effective after opened?  I have 2 bottles that were opened approx 6 months ago.  I have now been told to go back to this drop for two weeks to stop a new outbreak of the ititis.  Will these bottles still be effective or do I need to get a new script filled for them?  They both have expiration dates in 2011 so they are well within that.  I was just wondering tho what the shelf life is after opened.  Thank you.

Unless they have been exposed to extremely high temperature they should be good till at least the expiration date
