If you see two ophthalmologists and neither one finds anything bad then I would stop looking for answers unless something new develops or the spot changes.

and if the second eye doctor doesn't find anything either, do i need to go to a third? at what point should i accept the "i don't know, maybe a migraine variant" answer?i know there are a tonne of tests that can be ERG VEP etc ...
If your "eye doctor" is not an MD physician Eye MD ophthalmologist then you have not been properly examined. Find an Eye MD at www.aao.org
If you have seen an Eye MD get a second opinion

thank you. i ask because have a spot in the left eye that i see when i blink. it's been here for two weeks now and the eye doctor can't find a reason for it. i can even see i with my eyes closed (you did reply to an earlier post of mine about this problem).
anyway, i also have a dull tension-type headache all over as well as say teeth and jaw pain from clenching and grinding, a very tense sore neck and sore shoulders etc. was wondering about a possible relationship with the visual symptom ....
Yes the orbicularis that closes the eye in a dark adapted eye could likely generate a pressure phosphene
