prk complications

two weeks ago our son had PRK; his right eye is healing nicely, his left eye is 'shedding epithelial cells' as he told us; he has a second band aid contact lens, will revisit the dr. in two days, but his eyesight is still 'very bad' in his words, so he feels it still isn't healing

the dr told him that he is in danger of permanent eye damage if it doesn't begin to heal; while I downplay my concern when talking to him, i am very concerned.

your thoughts/ recommendations?  thank you

The epithelium heals in 3 to 5 days after a PRK.  He needs to discuss the slow healing with his doctor.   Is he taking his drops and resting?  Or is he trying to use his eyes too much.
