problem with contact fit? allergies?

Three and a half months ago I switched to Acuvue Oasys 2 week contacts from Acuvue Advanced.  Then a month ago while visiting my parents my eyes began to turn red around my iris and water, with the right worse than the left.  I visited an optometrist, who said my eyes were overall healthy and the redness was likely an eye infection and had me take antibiotic eyedrops.

After that treatment most of the redness was gone, but some veins were still present in the whites of my eyes.  I put in a new pair of contacts, and by the second day the redness was back.  I was told that my eye wasn't fully recovered and to wait a week.  The veins in my eyes seem to have gone down a little, but are still present.  This morning I put in a brand new pair of contacts yet again and saw that the veins seemed to be coming back.  From what I can tell they went to the edge of my contact and stopped.  I have scheduled an appointment with my regular optometrist for next week, but was wondering if you could give me some suggestions as to what it might be.  I don't sleep in my contacts, and clean them every day, so I don't think that could be causing the problems.  And I know that people develop problems wearing contacts as they age, but I just turned 24, so I'd have to be an unusual case if I already couldn't wear them.  Could it be the fit of the new contacts, and it just took my eyes a couple months to react?  Could it be an allergic reaction to the silicone in the lenses?  Is it something else?
thanks!

Dear s0898,

I would recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD to determine the cause of the redness and irritation.  Many possible conditions including giant papillary conjunctivitis [or an allergy to contact lenses], poorly fitting lenses, infection around the eyelids might be causing your symptoms.

Massive warning to everyone who's even thinking about trying the Acuvue Oasis. I developed a severe allergic reaction to those lenses. It causes your clear part of the eye to swell which even distorts your vision. These contacts should be recalled right away!

I tried them last week for 2 days before my eyes went red. I went to the medical clinic and the clinic panicked because of the condition that my eyes were in! They sent me to a specialist within 2 hours. At this time i don't even know if i can wear contacts ever again. I've had contacts for 7 years with no problems ever until these.

There have already been complaints with the FDA

DO NOT BUY! It's been almost a week and i still feel like if i have nails in my eyes.
