pterygium autograft recovery

I am now 5 1/2 weeks post op from pteryigium autograft in which the dissolvable stitch method was used. My vision is fine, no more discharge and I am using lotamax drops ( 3x a day). After 4 weeks post op, my stitches had not yet dissolved and were causing me discomfort. My Dr. removed some of the stitches in his office but did not attempt several of the stitches that are "buried". What concerns me is there is a cyst like build up over these stitches that have not dissolved. My eye is still blood shot and red around this area. Is this normal? What is a reasonable recovery time to expect these stitches to dissolve?

If the stitches themselves are fully burried, a cyst is very unlikely.  Granulomas could develop but also unlikely with the disolvable stitches.  Redness is unfortunately still normal.  The stitches should be fully gone by about two months (depends on the size used).
