pterygium removal

I had my pteryglum removed three days ago on my right eye. both of my eyes are light sentive my right pupil is dialated. I was injected with the mitcin c drug a month before surgery I am putting flarex and zzymar in my eyes four times a day. MY question is is it normal for my eye to still be dialated and senitve to light thanks kay.

The pupil may stay dilated for 1-2 weeks depending on what dilating drop the doctor used on your eye.  The dilating drop helps to keep the pupil from moving which helps with the pain in the early recovery period.  You may be light sensitive for another 1-3 weeks but the good news is that things will gradually improve.  Try using frequent preservative free artificial tears for irritation.  Your observations are totally normal for 3 days out from surgery.  Keep in close touch with your surgeon and don't hesitate to call the office if you have other questions.
