pterygium surgery recovery - May 20, 2008

I just had a pterygium removed from my left eye for the second time on May 20, 2008.  First time was April 2007.  Both surgeries have used the autograft with stitches.

I thought I was recovering just fine, until today.  My eye where the graft is stitched has been very red, but today the color has changed to a very, very dark red, almost purple.  I don't have any increase in pain, no dicharge, etc.  Just the color.

Is this any cause for concern?

Thanks,
Martha

Generally not but DO call your surgeon and ask his/her advise.
