Dear PAPD2128,

Air travel will depend upon the type of surgery that is performed.  If there is any gas bubble in the eye, flying will not be possible. The amount of time that a gas bubble remains, will depend upon the type of gas used and type of procedure.  I would recommend that you speak with your eyeMD.

You need to talk to your surgeon.  If there is gas in the eye, it can cause problems if you fly.  It all depends on the type of surgery you had.

From my own recent experience recovering from the same thing, all i can tell you is that all depends on the kind of surgery. If they put gas, oil, if is laser surgery... You better contact your doctor. Do it! Is a quite boring thing, for sure! ...A "get soon well" from Brazil to you!
Wish we could SEE each other perfectly soon- literally.
