recurring red eyes

recurring red eyes

Hi
Recently I've been having recurring red eyes and I was told that it was pink eyes, only problem is no one in my family is getting "pink eyes". I've been given antibiotics, antibiotics with antiflammatory but nothing helps. I recently saw an opthamalogist and I was told that I have very dry eyes and I need to lubricate and I was also given lotemax for the inflamation (inflammation). The problem is that this is recurring and not even lotemax is helping, visine nor clear eye does not get the red out and this is recurring pretty frequently now about every 3 weeks. I am very frustrated and I can't seem to figure out what is the problem.
I've had eye surgery in 2001 to correct my vision. Am I missing something? please help!

Their are too many causes of red eye to give you an answer. I would suggest a second opinion with an Eye MD ophthalmologist ideally a specialist in cornea and exterrnal disease.
