red eyes around the iris

by rahimidorna, Sep 15, 2009 10:04PM
Hello

I had an eye infection in my right eye 3 weeks ago and with some drops (suggested by doctor) the redness went away. However, i have moved to a new place and now both  my eyes get really red around the iris. i have been wearing thee contacts for the past 4 months and they have been fine. the problem is, when i wake up in the morning my eyes are okayish but as the day goes on, they turn into a bowl of blood. I take my contacts off  and put on glasses and i am going to see  a doctor soon. but should i be really worried? or is it just my contacts? if it is my contacts, then how come they did not cause any problem in the past four months?

It could be a problem with the contacts or an infection.  See an ophthalmologist.
