researching lens implants

I had a radial keritodomy (RK) in my dominate eye about 20 years ago.  Over the last year my vision has deteriorated. I am 54 and do not have cataracts yet.  I went to the doctor to see what my options might be,  His recommendation is a Crystalens in that eye. I want to see what other people have experienced with the Crystalens and other lens.

This discussion is related to Crystalens problems.

Hi Cat,
You will do well to take Dr Hagan's advice,I thought about all the variations of lenses...and after a GREATdeal of research...the safest option is the monofocal Acrylic lens route...I was -20 both eyes and have alcon implants.

The key is to have blended vision....have a look at my posts and the replies received from the Great doctors and others...saves repetition

I would advise ANY patient that has had RK to avoid any mutifocial IOL (Crystalens, ReStor and the problem prone ReZoom)  I have my patients with RK to have a spheric IOL like the ones sold under the Tecnis and Alcon labels.
