retinal detachment

30 years ago I had retinal detachment in both eyes.  All 3 operations (2 OD 1 OS) where done at HF.  Things were great for 30 years, Then I began to lose central vision in my left eye last year.  I was told it was an eparential(?) membrane. I was being treated and we were discussing my options.  Unfortunately, late last year the same problem occured in my right eye.
I went to several Retinal Surgeons for consultation, and found one I had confidence in.  We scheduled the left eye for March 23,  Everything went GREAT, the Doctor said it was one of the largest membranes he had seen.  Vision came back in 10 days--No Problems.  We then scheduled the right eye for April 13.
Not so good.  Many omplications including the retina detached during the nearly 5 hour procedure.  While on the table I heard them discuss a "cadaver".  Later it was explained that 30 years ago while at HF, they used tissue from a cadaver to reattach my tear. Was this a procedure (Dr Gilbert *****)
Now my question, it has been 10 weeks since the operation.  It took 8 weeks for the bubbles to go away, but my problem/question is, my pupil is "tear shaped" and is not dilating with a change in light.  Also my vision is still poor- my guess 20/200 it was corrected to 20/25 before the operation.
When will my pupil be round and start to dilate?  Is there some drops I can use.  Any information you can offer will help as I can only compare the success of my left with the unknown facts of my right.
Thanks for you comments.
