after how long was you able to see, after the op.
it was kind of like that for me everything was fine, until a little later.
Doctor says that is typical, not to notice it really quick on children or young adults.
hi,thanx for your reply,my son fell in about 2 months ago in april ,i took him for check ups and the eye doc said hes ok,and wante to review him again in july but i noticed after 4 weeks of his fall he was findind it difficult to see,he never complainned though,i took for check up again and the doctors got worried,he couldnt see from left eye at all and just slightly from right eye.hes had surgery for both eyes now, also laser for right eye.but is still finding it difficult to see,i just hope he will be able to see again.
Does he see from one eye? How old were the detachments at the time of surgery? You should call the doctor tomorrow and ask your original questions and more.Whatever you need to know.
No harm in getting a second opinion, with a retinologist. However, you might even go in to see the present doctor first. You need a more understanding than you have at present.
Everyone is different. Retinal detachments do not heal quickly and it could be 6-12 months before you know how much the vision will come back. In the meantime your best source of information is your retina surgeon.
