retinal surgery

by nicholasanton, Nov 27, 2008 07:19PM
six days ago my right eye started to cross. I saw an opthalmologist who said I had a retinal tear. I had a sclera buckle with a gas bubble. My eye continues to stay crossed and I have a ptosis now.  Will this go away or will I need surgery. My doctor is gone for a week

If you just had retinal surgery that would not just make your eye straight again.  You are dealing with two totally separate problems that might be intertwined somewhat.  The ptosis is most likely because you just had surgery eye is swollen and irritated.  Please call the surgeon's office and speak to the covering doctor on call.
