retinal tears

What are the symptoms of retinal tears?  I see this crocked white line/light when I move my right eye (had PPV with gas bubble a little over 2 months and 2 weeks ago) from left to right (in the dark).  I also see this small white line/light on the upper right hand corner of my right eye as well (day or night time).  Could these be symptoms of retinal tears?

I also recently just had laser done on my right eye for a small retinal tear my surgeon found after a lot of the blood from my right eye subsided from the surgery.  I still have some blood left though....with some new blood accdg to him from the retinal tear.

I just want to know for the future So I can address concerns and symptoms as I take better care of my eyes from now on.

Thank you in advance for your answers and advice.

I have had floaters from a trauma to my eye for a week now, and they make me sick to my stomach.  I don't know if it is seeing the floaters or anxiety from the idea that my retina may tear and need surgery, but I feel terrible.  Anyone else?
