retinoschesis?

Hi doctor apparently I went to the optometrist who said they'll refer me to the hospital because I've been seeing flashes of light in my peripheral  and they said it could be caused by retinoschesis. Can this happen, can retinoschesis cause flashing lights in vision

I have retinoschesis.  Most cases are benign and do not require treatment.  Schesis infrequently causes flashes and floaters. By far the most common cause is shifting of the vitreous (posterior vitreous detachment)

Okay thanks also ihave a question, what are the chances of retinal tears being missed or retinal  holes  even of they are very small  wen uve been dilated and checked by an opthalmologist twice ?? Is it highly likely.
answered on your other post. remembers that retinal tears and holes can develop anytime so things might change AFTER the exams.
Yh I got another exam in two months
