rezoom replacement lenses

I had cataracts in both eyes. In June 2007 I had the left eye lens replaced with a Rezoom lens. From the day of surgery and to this day I have trouble with seeing halos around all lighting. At night car lights are like an explosion of fingers of light that surround the source. When I walk into a room that is dim in light everything out of my left eye is blurry. I have been back to the doctor that performed the surgery at least fifteen times and he cannot see anything wrong. He said that my eye needed time to adjust to the new lens. I did give it time and when it was almost 90 days from the time of the surgery my doctor said it would be to risky to try and remove the lens to install a standard one. I was referred to a cornea specialist and he could not find anything wrong. Something is definately wrong when my eye sight is worse now than when I had the cataract. My doctor said that he wanted me to put a Rezoom lens in my right eye but if it turned out like my left I it would be unbearable. I believe I have a defective lens but nobody wants to hear that. Surely there are others who have experienced this situation. I don't know what to do.

I don't think that you have a defective lens.  The problems you've been having are not uncommon with ReZoom.  Type "ReZoom" in the search box in the upper right corner of your monitor to learn more about the experience that others have had with this IOL.

I think you should consult another doctor, preferably a board-certified cataract surgeon who is very experienced explanting lenses.  (I believe that this procedure is safe if done by an expert.)  If there is a teaching hospital in your area, you could try getting a referral by calling their ophthalmology  department.
