It depends on where the scar is, how big and deep it is and what causes it. See an Eye MD ophthalmologist for a second opinion. Find one at www.aao.org

Hello. I have a congregation member who is 10 years old. He has had seven surgeries in the past seven months. Scar issues post surgery of a detached retina. Are there any articles by specialists out there on post surgery recovery medication or what to do as to prevent the scarring? Obviously, he has seen a retina specialist these seven times and we  understand that each person is unique and the healing process is very individualized, but does anyone out there know of current available research or finding on preventing scar issues? I think the subject matter is lacking and needs attention. Thank you.

When I was 2, I fell out of a 2 story window and fractured my skull and somehow ended up with scar tissue on my left pupil. Is there any way to have this remove? I haven't been able to see out of that eye since.
Thanks
