scar on right eye

ive now been living with a scar right in the center of my eye now for a year and a half.  ive been to 2 different eye doctors and one cornea specialist.  they dont want to mess with it because theyre afraid of making my vision worse.  the scar does prevent me of seeing clear and when light hits it my vision in that eye becomes very blurry and i can barely see.  i work outside year round and i weld quite a bit which makes everything harder on me.  i seem to be able to see better when i look out of the side of my eye especially when indoors.  but now my eye slants off to the right which has made me very uncomfortable when i am talking to someone or am just out.  its seriously changed the way i act around people and it has taken its toll on me.  if they were to take the laser and remove it, wouldnt a contact be able to compensate for layer theyve taken off my eye.  i understand it wont be perfect but i am fine with it if my eye would just be straight again...

Thining the cornea to remove a scar could lead to other complications and in some cases make things worse than they were in the first place.  You should consult with another cornea specialist (maybe one associated with a university program) to get another opinion in this regard.  I can't give you specific advice without being able to examine your eye.
