sclera abrasion?
My mom came home from work with an odd "scratch" on the inner portion of her sclera (left eye).  If runs horizontal (from the area closest to the nose) across the sclera and disappears in the iris.  It looks slightly raised and the "scratch" seems to be discolored (yellowish-tan) but very lightly.  She says it makes her eye feel dry and blurs her vision.  Based on my research online it seems like a harmless scratch that should heal in a day or so, however, her mom has macular disease.  She is not an alarmist, but she is concerned and so am I.  What should she do to help the scratch heal, and if it does not, at what point does she see her doctor?
