scleral buckle

I have had a scleral buckle op approx 6 weeks ago-my job is a teaching assistant to a child with cerabal palsy & this involves lifting him a lot of the time-he is a very sturdy 5 year old,my question is am i able to lift him anymore as ive been told im no longer able to lift or is there a time limit after the operation. which so far has been a sucess ,but im just terrified to take a chance with my sight.I am still not fit for work as my sight in the bad eye is still healing.

For a week or so after surgery you don't want to do any heavy lifting. However, you're going to have to get the exact time period from your surgeon as only s/he will be able to best guide you.
