seeing red?

I take 150 mg of topiramate for cronic cluster headaches every night. Sometimes this causes me to have wake up with pain/tingling in my feet as a side effect. I find relief from this pain by using a "hidow" electronic massager that uses electricity on the bottoms of my feet. I'm not sure if that is relevant but that's what I had just started using when the pain in my feet was so intense. I was sitting on the edge of my bed and then suddenly my vision went all red, like I was wearing red sunglasses, and I fainted and fell onto the for and was out for maybe a minute. when I came to again my vision seemed fine but I was disoriented. I did not have a cluster during this last night but this morning when I woke up I did. I'm used to the clusters and the feet tingling but have never experienced the red vision.  With clusters I usually get a red and watery eye but my vision itself is not normally affected, is this something I need to bring to my neurologist attention? What happened?? Thank you for your advise/help.

Topiramate is toxic to your retinas which causes you seeing red. See a opthamologist ASAP that is familiar with this drug. You need to call your Neurologist asap. Neurologists usually don't care unless you have a serious condition. Get off that drug!!!! Your vision will get worse!!!

There are many side effects that can occur with topiramate. You should be seen by an Eye MD ophthalmologist and discuss with your neurologist.
