sjogrens syndrome

My eye care professional thinks that I might have sjogrens syndrome (I am going for testing).  I had lasik eye surgery 4 months ago (I was unaware I has this syndrome) and suffered numerous complications (dry eyes, halos, star bursts, regression, corneal scars), some of which are now permanent.  My question is, could sjogrens syndrome add to or cause these complications?  Also could the lasik procedure induce the syndrome if it had been dormat until now?
Thank you

Yes, dry eye problems make lasik worse and lasik makes dry eyes worse. Sjorgren's syndrome can be one of the more severe froms of dry eye.  No lasik will not cause Sjorgren's.
