small white/red spot on eye, yellow tint to eyeball

had a white spot appear on my eyeball a few weeks ago... thought it would go but hasnt.... yesterday it went bright red, but went back to a whitey colour today after sleep..... everywhere on the internet says its that thing beginning with p, that you get from uv etc... but i work nights.... sleep all day... so i see no sun what so ever?

also after close inspection, noticed both eyes, have the slightest yellow tint to them on the white bit, but only on small sections of it.... my full eyeballs arent yellow, and you cant notice it from a normal view in the mirror, but when you look up close you can see the slight tint of yellow......

as i work nights its hard to get to the doctors, even harder to get an eye test thing!

the lighting in my work is very poor... tryed getting it sorted for past few months but no-ones doing anything about it....

i required glasses as from last year, to watch tv etc, but noticed since working nights my vision has got alot worse, and now this lumps appeared!

any ideas?

tryed photoing it but its too hard to see it properly...

thanks... but like i said i work nights, so see no sun 98% of my time :S which is what made me think its something else... do they eventually just go away, or am i stuck with it for life?

may i ask aswell, if it is normal for people to have a slight yellow tint in their eyeball, mainly under the eyelids... as i have this in both eyes, not just the one with a spot in it

This is probably a pinguecula.  It is related to dryness, uv exposure and genetics.
