spots on the eye

Hello,

Last week I went to visit my eye doctor. Was told I had some spots on my eye (about 2-3 tiny spots on each eye).

I think he said it was called some kind of nevi and that it was a common thing he saw.

Questions

1. does that increase the chance I will grow one inside the eye?
2. Will I get more and can it turn into cancer?
3. What causes it?

Please let me know.

Dr. Hagan,

Not sure if you saw my question posted last night.

My question is now that I have these spots (freckles/nevus) outside the ey (both).

Does that mean or increase my chances getting them inside the eye?

Thanks Dr. I will appreciate all the work you do.

Thanks Dr. Hagan for your reply.

Also will I get them inside the eye? or is outside of the eye unrelated to the back of the eye?

a conjunctival nevus are like freckles on the skin. If they stay small, don't grow, don't sweat it.

Told me it was like a freckle. They are located on the white part of the eye on the surface. Said the spots had nevus cells. The Doctor didnt seemed too concern I just wanted to get your thoughts.

Call your "eye doctor" back and ask him/her those questions as that is the only way to get a good answer for your problem
