strabismus

by sherifn, Sep 29, 2009 09:59AM
Dear,
i have got strabismus since i was 5 years old, now i am 31 years old.
i have done 2 surgeries on 8 and 13 years old . every one lasts for 2 years then left eyes will go back again to outwords.
is there any chance now just to keep my eyes straight ?? i don't care any more about 3d vision, as far as i know it is immpossible now to have it back.

what about BOTOX, will it be helpful in my age??

thanks in adance for your support.

Because you don't have "fusion" the ability of the brain to use both eyes together at the same time eye muscle surgery is like a boat without a rudder you can aim it straight but without a rudder (fusion) it won't stay straight.

Botox might help but not likely due to restricted, scarred muscles.

Best advise see the best eye muscle Eye MD you can get to. Prognosis not good however  Find one near you at www.aao.org
