stye under the eyelid?

i was wondering if it was possible to get a stye under the upper eyelid from my research it seems that they only come up on the edges well when i raise my upper eyelid there is a pink with a white head inflamed pimple look alike which has my whole eye swollen, its a lot worse when i first wake up and then the swelling goes down some but it still looks half as open as the other one any advice besides going to the doctor, is there any over counter drops that u would recommend?

This sounds like a stye.  I do not recommending rubbing with a gold ring or popping them yourself (this can lead to lid infection).  granny got away with it.  Styes are easily drained in the office.  Find an Eye MD near you (go to www.aao.org).

That is not so. I have had styes under my upper eyelid. My mother used to say, "Scrape it with a gold ring." Probably silly advice, but yeah, my son had tons of them under his upper eyelid. I've known of many people who have. I always popped mine, but I could turn my eyelid inside out to do it. (something I learned as a kid) Again, not the best advice. It was effective, though, in my case.
